    Cowboy Kaden

I have about 4 or 5 more of these if you'll just bear with me. I know the position of his foot is awkward, he was becoming impatient with me...heh. Tough crowd is mom.

This is very good. I hear ya about kids and the low tolerance they have for standing still for long and "cooperating" but in this case the impatience sorta comes out in a way that makes the viewer smile and recognize the atitude there. His bent leg could have been a bigger issue, but somehow it comes off as part of the "tude and the baggy pants keeps it from looking like a missing limb thing. I think its fine.

The light is good and the wood floor and panel is a perfect rustic background and simple enough. A bit more light, or some dodging by the hat to bring it out more could help.
My only other shot at improving this would have been to frame it with more space above his head, to give reference to his size. Emphasizing his small size as a kid would really play on his big atitude and charm.

    Really fine portrait.

Maybe try a tighter crop from his folded arms up.

Thank you both for your comments! HA! I just noticed I accidentally darkened his hand oops...As to your suggestions Gary, I'll try lightening the bg a bit more and maybe lengthening the top but overall I'm pretty happy with this one. Thanks again!
