Very nicely composed shot of the couple themselves, but the background is a pretty big buzzkill for me all the way around The fence cuts the shot in half, the sign next to his ear, the light hat against the light roof, just all seem to add up to hurt this one. The 4x4 post to the right is about the only cowboyish item in the whole background.

Sorry to be so harsh, but this one doesn't match up to some of the other excellent street work you've done/shared lately...

Thanks Jet, I knew the background was a bit busy but was hoping the cowboy an the vacant stare of the two would help, guess not.

Nice, but I think I would have gone with vertical crop and eliminated the trucks and that wood on the right side as well. The whole point of the pic is that cowboy and his hat and mustache. I'd try a crop that cut out part of the female and maybe even use a little blur on her to deemphasize her and focus more attention on the cowboy.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

I wonder how you got this. Did you just stand near him and shoot?

Don, a technique I use is to open the swing out screen on the E3 and just try and look as though I am fiddling with the camera not to get their attention I compose and shot from the side using live view. It works pretty good.
