    On the couch

    I took this on the weekend. I added some blur, centered around her eyes, a slight vignette, I also used manual focus, as the Pentax has trouble taking a photo if it can't decide on the focal point.

    I'm reasonably happy with the shot. Tell me what you think?

    Radial blur, huh. I'd personally blur around the baby rather than it on its own. The image has too much blur to be worthwhile I'm afraid. Your composition and lighting is right on but the blur really bothers me though.

    Its a good emotion shot but I find the arms being clipped like that very distracting. Not sure about the blur expt. I think it might work better if there was a birthday cake and things were flying all over the place Anyway...!

    Thanks for the time to comment!

    I posted this up at work and received some critical critique, to the point where I was told I should take my bub to some more exotic picturesque locations, such as beaches and parks. Not to say I don't want to, but it's hard when the bub takes precedence over photography.


    I've adjusted the blur so it's a little less and added more vignette, based on some other critique. What do you think?
