    Concentration

This young ballplayer was sitting in the dugout prior to a game on Wednesday, and he just looked like he was deep into thinking about the upcoming game.

John, this is a fine image. It would go well in an article or story about the game. The lighting is well and the bg is simple and non distracting. The moment of expression speaks to the viewer

Good. As I'm sure you know, shooting as much baseball as you do, hats often leave a player's face in shadow, but you've overcomne that particular challenge.

This one might be improved with a little more background blur. Something with a f/1.8 or f/1.4 might have been perfect. Secondarily, I wonder if we shouldn't see more context with his shirt (presumably a team logo) and maybe something like a glove held in his hand. Of ocurse, if you do that, you lessen the viewer's focus on his face, but I feel we might be looking an any kid waering a baseball cap, not necessarily a kid in a dugout watching the game.
