    composition part deaux

    went downtown on a compositon exercise and i thought that these 3 were the best. only re-sized and cropped.


    tried to take on board what i have "learned" from here lately and wonder if you have any suggestions/critique ?

    I don't like the tree chopped off in the first one and think it would work better in portrait mode which would also eliminat most if not all of the buildings.
    I have no opinion on the other two.
    Just turn that thing sideways sometimes and see what you get.

    Also I liked what that nd fiter did and know I'm going to have to get one.

    the good part about it is that they are there forever and i can have a different take based on comments that i receive.

    also next time filter goes with me.

    i am going to post a couple more and see what i can learn from the exercise..

    it's all about exercises right now and trying to find a good composition. what i think may be okay doesn't;t work.

    I agree about the first shot.. but isn't it already in portrait mode? and the colors seem a little bland!

    the second just contains too many distractions, such as the piece of wall on the top left corner, that thing peeking behind the trees to the top right....well you get the point!

    I would have loved the third without the trees! Dunno if centered it would work... but i know i would have loved it without the trees!!

    Looking forward to some more shots!
