    Coming and going

    These are eared grebes taken yesterday at Surfside, TX.

    Taken with a Canon EOS 20D and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS lens

    Really nice composition--like the position of the two ducks. My only crit is the depth of field makes the second duck out of focus. Could you have stopped down more to increase you depth of field?

    Lovely shot! I love the red of the eyes, and the composition of the two ducks must've required being in the right place at the right time. Though the DOF could've been a little more, it works and regardless is a good shot!

    I like the DOF!!! If the other bird would have been sharp the area where the birds overlap would have been very distracting.
