    Re: Colour

I try to critique as I think the more experienced here would. I don't find any technical errors in this one, however I always enjoy comparing notes and am learning much that way.

What I personally enjoy about this photo is the color -- as you so aptly titled it. Your composition is pleasing. I like the interest of the two arches. And the scene is enticing in that I want to go on around the corner...

About the only thing I can think to nit-pick is that everything is leaning to the left just a bit. The water seems level, but there is such a short span of it visible that I think I would opt to straighten the more prominent architectural features even if it throws the water off a little. I really like the color and the interplay of light and dark throughout the composition!

    Re: Colour

Thanks all. Appreciated all your feedback.

Jet, yeah it was a bit more tilted, and i attempted at correcting it. I didn't even notice that it was stilll slightly tilted. I think it's more lense distortion, because the right side looks straighter than the right. I think I might have to skew it to correct it.

    Thanks!

Great as always, Liban. (And as always, I'm amazed by your knack for seeing this kind of scene in the first place.) I did notice the tilt, but I'm not sure if it would be better straightened out. Maybe it would.

The exposure is perfect for this particular shot. Again, it looks almost HDR'd, though I know it probably isn't. How, for instance, did you get the wall at foreground right to be illuminated so nicely?

    Thanks Seth.

No, i didn't do much to this photo. The thing is I try to hide lights. you can see on the immediate right there's a light that i tried to hide, but you can still see the flares from it. That one was nice and bright. Also there might have been other lights all behind me that contributed to the near wall being brighter.

First thing I thought was "Tilted".

The colors, reflections and shapes are nice.
    No, I DON'T need that.
