That top photo's color is outstanding. Too bad it's soft, but then again I cant see how you could have done any better since they were moving and you had a low-light situation. Did you try sharpening it up a bit in a photo editor? Bottom shot's OK too btw

    Payn

The colours on these are outstanding. I think you need a faster lens LOL

This must have been one brilliant show.

    Re: colors

I think you're right Roger. The more pressing issue at this time is workflow, and just getting to "know" the camera. These were shot in JPEG, I should have used raw. They were also at 1600 ISO, which with a slight noise reduction may have softened them even more.

Hell, I didn't even get the white balance right...lol
But, we all got to learn, and it has been a rough time going through so many cameras in such a short time. This one will stay for a long time though.

I appreciate both of your thoughts on this.

I tried sharening but this is the best I could get.

    Payn,

Minus the sharpness, these are great. Vibrant colors, great compositionally, just the softness is a nuisnance.

    Well done though!

Event photography is never as easy as it looks. I think these ROCK Payn! I love the phat colors of the dancers and their veils. And blur is I think acceptable given the conditions. It implies movement and that's certainly what they were doing. Great catches!

    Re: colors

Thanks Jared and CLKunst. I managed to pull these together in PP, and get the sharpness to come out. KM is very conservative with in camera sharpening, and after the Kodak, this is a whole different digital beast.
