    The Cold Owl (edited)

A month ago i posted a pic of an owl, Mike, and i recieved a plethera of critiques in response. i compiled as many of your advices as i could and i came up with this. i posted this in the nature photography site a while ago, but I feel you guys give better constructive criticism, though I still love the Nature/Wildlife forum.

An improvement, no doubt. The blue tint is gone and the owl has been brought out further to keep it from being too hidden in the bg. Nice work

Well, you are getting there, but I am picky, since I have been doing this longer than anyone here.

You still need it brighter around the eyes which are very important in an animal photo and your edit of the branch over the feathers still needs to be smoother and less noticeable.

I would also take out a few more branches in the background.

All in all, it is still quite good, all things considered.

it's an improvement, and I liked the older version as well. the upper portion of the head needs to be brightened more though, as it is falling a bit too much into the vignette.
