    Cold Hearted Snake

    Here is one from a few months ago. I love it...which means there is probably stuff I am missing to improve it.
    Shot using a tri-pod

    I also like it, though the colors make it more of an abstract photo than anything. I wonder if the shot would actually be better in landscape format? Hard to say. Also, see if you can selectively sharpen the eye on the bugger a bit.

    I've seen a lot of snakes in the local zoo (they have a big display) and I sometimes think I could get incredible shots of them if I could only change the background and lighting (borrow them and take them home? )

    I like the second post much better. The first one has too much contrast, and the snake seems a bit out of focus. In the second one, I wish the eyes were sharper and maybe a little tweak of the white balance?
