Coastal Motion Blur and Static Elements.

    Your thoughts?

Dont know if I like the exposure this long.
is the blown out sky an acceptable sacrifice for the slightly brighter water?

Sky too bright? Missing elements? Should I have shot where there was no kelp moving and just used rocks?

Small curves adjustment criminal? (original was too pink) Kelp, yes or no?

Well, I love the sky in the first shot...I think the colors are gorgeous. I'm not quite as keen on how blurred the water is, but that could just be me.

The second shot I think the colors work better all together, and it has an ethereal look to it.

Thanks Emily, next time I'll shoot with a faster shutter speed as well as the slower ones. I'll try to get something with the water captured without blur, should I keep that EV by tweaking aperture and ISO a bit or should I correct it at all?

Try next time not shooting directly at the sunset. Try haveing it come out of a corner, that way it won't be as overpowering. When you shoot at an angle to the sunset you can still get the great colors but you can aslo get some more detail in the water, similar to the third photo.
And I like shooting sunsets towards the north, the south is usually more washed out where i'm from.
