    the coal re-chute :)

Tried again, with different angles, and at sunset instead of sunrise. Any comments would be greatly appreciated...

    Payn
I REALLY REALLY like this!!! The first one is just excellent. The colors, the composition the way the falling light breaks up the building, all really excellent. Good job!

. . .and also a little phallic. That's probably just me though.

I have been really torn between the two but I think I'm going for the first. I love the color on both, but seeing so much more of the chute just really brings it home.

That first shot is really good. The warm light is dramatic and you've held the shadow detail too. Nice angle.

Thanks to you all! I am very happy with this reshoot.

CLKunst, now that you mention it...

    you're sooo bad!!

Knight, yeah I actually got it back, the story is in a thread on viewfinder titled "when did you start photography", some personal problems almost took me away from shooting, but I pulled it back together, and have been coming up pretty dry since about August, then today, I just got inspired.

I personally enjoy the second one, that blue skiy is quite amazing and the conrasting warm brown tones are great!

    Well done,

I'm with Jared, the second one's composition and colour just work wonderfully.

I also love the "re-chute" pun, but I'm a bit sad like that

Since I wrote it does that make me sad too? Thanks for looking/commenting Chris!
Jared, It is my favorite of the four also, but I knew people would want a more straight on shot, so I posted one, thanks for your kind words.
