    Hey Rick,

My first thought when I looked at this image, was that it's had a lot of PP work done to it. It has a very HDR look to it to me. I do like the image tho. I think this seen had a lot of potential. I like the colors in the FG but everything above the bridge in this image looks odd to me. Not sure what it is, maybe it's too bright, but it just looks unnatural.

    Thanks Mike,
Yes, I tried to save the sky...Your critique is spot on.Even tried cropping the bridge out, then the creek just dead ended...I also thought this scene has some potential, I'll have to try this at a different time of day maybe with the sun behind me.

I appreciate the feedback. I'm here to learn

agreed with MJS. I really like the image and the framing too. It does look a bit overprocessed, but it looks oversharpened, perhaps softening it a bit (or less sharpening) would work. The shadows also look a little bit too bright, like you brightened the dark tones a bit too much.

Nice scene Rick..the sky kills it for me. You could try and crop down just to the mountains and replace the sky. I think a reshoot is in order though..bring tripod..shoot early!
Please ask to edit photos and I'll do the same!

The blue is great but taken in context with the rest of the scene, yeah it does look abnormal. Too bad too cause it's an excellent blue! (gotta take a color sample of this one and remember it for some future graphic art projects). Nice curve. I would crop out everything just below the bridge to just to show the water and the banks. That's all that's important here IMO. Nice find

Love the scene and your composition. I agree with others about the over processed look, but I think that has more to do with what appears to be over sharpening than anything else. The sky is not bad, just a weird color. Select the sky and bg and adjust the hue to match more like the blue in the water. You also might consider adding a soft blur as it fades into the bg to give it a more dreamy look and less dof.
I would leave the saturation and vividness.

    Thanks everyone,
Armed with what I have learned about this scene...I'll reshoot with a big gun. :O) I live only 1 mile from this local.
Excellent tips for improvement.I admit I'm a rookie in the PS dept I'm still laughing out loud from the comment AgingEyes made. Thanks for keeping it fun...
    With regards,

    Rick
