very cool. Huge amount of patterns that works so well. Good eye. Perfect IMO. Maybe another shot to show movement? IE...Green light.

I think another level of pattern is possible here.
Combine two long exposures of the traffic, one in each direction.

I love this! So much geometry - and even the cars all being red adds to it, IMHO.

One of your specialties. Crisp, revealing urban night shots. I agree that the red cars add greatly to the enjoyment of this one.

I was joking earlier by the way about causing a wreck!

As for the photo I think it works this way, but agree some movement would make it look more alive, even if it is traffic going one direction.
You have a great city for taking night photos in, thats a huge help. Indy is rarely a good night photo location, although there are times it would be good I just never get there when it is

Yep, obviously a great spot, composition-wise.

If this was shot digitally, what I would have done is bracket the exposures to have some frames with more detail in the dark top of the corner building, and especially the building on the far right (the street would have been overexposed), then blend the shots in photoshop to get a much larger dynamic range.

Photoshop CS2 can do this automatically now, with the HDR (High Dynamic Range) feature, a powerful tool that creates images that would have been outside the tone range of a single exposure.

    Yoyo,

Great shot, beautiful angle. I love the subtle mix of neutral colors of greys and blacks and whites and than the brighter, yet subtle, yellows and reds. Great shutter speed and eye to include those. Great shot as always Yoyo.

Hi Tuna, Thanks a lot for sharing your view.

Hi JS, Yes, the city is sleepless round the clock. I think it is more beautiful at night.

Hi Steve, Your suggestion about HDR shots is good, Thanks for the tip.

Hi Jared, Thanks for the detailed analysis. I am glad that you like the shot.
