    Re: Cigar

I am not a portrait specialist, but it looks like a pretty solid job to me. The pose is good, curving through the frame with a nice diagonal formed by the upper body. The clothing, though black, is nicely exposed. The picture is 'sexy' without being in any way overtly erotic. I also like the way your model is portrayed as a 'tough guy' but there is a twinkle in her eye implying it is all an act. All that works (even the mildly phallic cigar).

The one and only comment I have is that perhaps the left side of her face (our right) could use just a tad more lightening?

    Cheers

    Re: Cigar

yup , she was about to burst out laughing
the outfit and cigar are her idea

I used 2 lights and intentionally kept the one on the right with less power to get some shades on her face, I think it works in this case, without it being all evenly lit, there are some shades on the side of her nose that could be better , less dark I mean

    Thanks for commenting

Hmm. This one has potential Armando. Light the cigar so that you have a little smoke, and maybe place her in a different background (but it will be hard to mask her out if there's smoke rising from the cigar). She also seems a little bit in a lean to the left, not sure it looks natural. Nice outfit overall. Exposure and lighting is OK.

Nice backdrop. Nice smile and expression. Her pose is ok too. The thing that bothers me is the skin tone line created by her chest/stomach. It's like a nice dark area is interrupted by a line going down. An uneven line too. I wish the jacket was buttoned up.

    Re: Cigar

It looks good to me and I really like the pose and the outfit. Nice idea.

One thing that might be worth considering if you do this again is to have her holding a tommy gun, you know the old style with the circular magazine. I'm a Brit so don't ask me about guns haven't a clue, but I think it would fit in with the theme of the photo.

Liban, I see what you say about the jacket buttoned down, it would have looked better
Reading, an old machine gun would have been fantastic !!

    Thanks !
