Thanks, I wish the inspiration would come more like it has recently. It sucks going 3-4 months with absolutely nothing. Your time and kind comment is greatly appreciated.
I think you have a strong image here in it's simplicity. I really like how the Backlighted cross stands out strong framed by the church under a purple sky. The little star twinkling is a great deatail as well. I see something, that for me personally would improve the image. I would like to see you straighten the image by rotating a fair amount to the left (counter clockwise) so that the steeple and vertical section of the cross are straight, or closer to being straight with the frame. I might like to see the trees coming up behind the roof be cloned out, but that is not too important. you have a very strong image here. good work
Exposure looks spot on and taken at the right time. I have to look very closely to see if you have lost the tip of the steeple; I think it's all there but it is exremely tight. A little more sky (not much) above it would help.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan
I agree that it is a great shot! Though once Gary pointed out the little tilt, I can't help but see it. All that is missing is a great, bright, shining star and you'd have a photo for the holidays for sure!
Much more stately and formal this way but I think I prefer the edginess given by the tilt.
I agree with Chunk in his description of both versions, and ultimately it comes down, like most critiques do, to a personal preference issue. I can go with the edginess ( is that really a word, Chunk?) of the tilted image, but i think then the tilt should be more profound to achieve a deliberate result

I don't know if that's a word or not - real words are sometimes inadequate in trying to describe how something feels. I agree that more tilt would be even better - but don't go overboard.
I don't mind the tilt, but if you could get rid of those trees in the bottom right, that would be the most beneficial IMO. A great shot though, nonetheless.
