    Christmas Card...well, it sorta looks like one...

    Happy Holidays everyone.
    Again one of my favorite subjects in Fairbanks. Actually taken early this spring, but it certainly fits this time of year.

    Lots of nice things going on here EOSThree. I like the warm light and the cool tones of the snow. The shadows add plenty of interest. And you're right this does look like a good candidate for a Christmas card or perhaps a December Calendar picture. I bet it would be neat to paint this scene with watercolors.

    Picture perfect: I especially like the time of day in which you shot this. The lighting is perfect and is set against the darkening skies. Improvements? Perhaps you do not need as much foreground as in this shot (personal preference is not to have those posts in the foreground).
