    Thumbs up Chilla the Cat

    Since the last few posts were all dogs thought Id change it up a bit and so I decided to take some shots of my cat..Let me know what you guys think Thanks in advance.

    I like the first two. I really like how the background is exposed for so softly and not pitch black. it's good that we can see the environment the cat is in. Out of those two, i'm leaning towards the black and white one cause the flash doesn't seem as strong, it's a bit more subtle in that version. what both of those suffer from though is a big time tilt. u can see the light post is not vertical. i rotated it in photoshop and corrected it. but once u do that you'll lose some of the photo.

    btw, lulu, if u don't mind people editing your photos in their critique to make things a bit easier for them to show what they're talking about, put that in your signature so we don't keep asking you ;-) I don't think you mind, do u?

    I honestly didnt pay much attention to the tilt in the pole.But it really does make a big difference. Thanks liban

    I like the color version and although straightening the pole is fine i don't like that we lost the cats paws.
    I would like a bit more ambient lighting and illumination from the bg scene and so you would need to set your camera in M mode to expose a bit more for it while the flash exposed the subject.
    Beautiful cat, I have three of my own.
