Re: Children Playing at the Forks

Don - Good Lord, what did you do to this shot in PS?? It looks like 7 people on an assembly line worked it over in their favorite image manipulation programs! The medium ranges are almost gone, the grasses and children seem to float above the other photo elements.

Looks like you abused PS again...No soup for you, Don. :17:

As far as the subject, it's ok but not the best angle. I would have gone over there w/ a wide angle and tried to get some low to high angles of the kids playing. But hindsight is 20-20 as they say.....

    Don,

Your last couple uploads have been quite good but this returns to shots of several months ago. I concur with the PS rework; I can't tell you what is wrong from a technical perspective but I can tell you something has gone wrong. The color shift is so drastic as to make the shot unbelievable. I am not wild about the bushes on the right side of the image. They just end, leaving a huge hole in the continuity of the right side. Post the original, untouched, so we can compare.

Sorry to be so critical, but you work so hard on your photography and seem to have such a great time doing it. I hope you will understand.

That's ok guys. You are really very gentle on me. This is a regression to my Courier and Ives phase. I promise never again.

    Don,

You just keep shooting and posting. No worries or promises necessary.

Hey Don - Sorry for such a harsh review yesterday, prob a little sarcastic sounding on my part. We're all here to learn, so pls feel free to post whatever it takes to experiment with new techniques and get better and better.
