    Chihuli Display

Shot recently when the show came to Columbus, Ohio. Most of the displays were at eye level. Saw this directly overhead. I doubt that any more than 50% of the people there didn't even see it.

I like this a lot - love the vibrancy of the colours and the breaking up of the photo with the grid/rafters and the light reflecting off the top rafter. I also like how the glass is not captured symmetrical to the frame in some areas but are in others.

    Well spotted and Nicely captured.

Fabulous work! What intense colors. The luminous glow of the glass is magical and mysterious locked away behind the grid.

Great colors and clarity. Love how the light shines through and makes the colors really pop. Very great catch, loupey.

Oh, and a loupe, if memory serves me correctly, is the eye-piece used by a jeweler when examining jewels.

    Thanks, everyone, for your comments!

Chihuli uses so much color in his displays that it's easy to get overwhelmed. Our conservatory has a set path through the displays and I was trying to get something that most others were not already taking.

Great shot, love how the cross pieces bisect the glass pieces.

Here is the unaltered scene with the 24-85mm set at 24mm (the original post is the 85mm version).

Hope it helps. Thanks again, everyone.

I really dig it! Your composition is allright and your exposure is dead on. Now we're talking about colours!

Wow. I like both of them, but the 2nd one a little more (the mesh is less dominant in that one).

Amazing colors here ... great example of where B&W film would never match it.
