    Cherry Tree Portraits

I took these this past weekend.I got a little impatient and used some older developer I had (not strong enough, not developed for long enough) and I'm not sure what I think yet. I do know there are some things I'm thinking of working on. I'm just curious to find out if you guys pick out the same issues as being distracting to the overall picture/pictures. Let me know!

    Re: Cherry Tree Portraits

The second is my personal favorite...I like the tones in this photo actually. The tree has the very nice texture and the girl looks very soft next to it. I think that photo has a "quality" that I really like...the composition, angle and the expression really make this a great photo.

Pic 1 has a blossom that blocks her hand and is kinda annoying
Pic 3 a branch is growing out of the child's crotch and kills the sweetness factor and composition.
Pic 4 I like, but the expression is not as good as Pic 2

    my 2 cents
    Cheers.
I'm always mentally photographing everything as practice.

Ha! I didn't even think about the branch-crotch combination. For me, that isn't a big issue, but i can see how that might be distracting. I was annoyed with the hand thing as well, but unfortunately, it's not something I can fix in the darkroom. I'll have to force my neices to sit for me again. Although, it wasn't exactly a task in the first place .
