I like your framing here and composition. It is another good portrait from you. My nit pik here is the shadow in the nose/eye area, and the dark on most of the hair going up out of the frame at the right. A reflector throwing a bit more light filling in these shadows a bit would have been effective. Good work, nonetheless
And I was worried about the wisp of hair on her left cheek. I, personally, find that distracting.
Thank you both.
I used only window light, no reflector. Must try to get myself one
The pose is nice, the composition you've made from it I like.
I thought it needed a little shadow on her right cheek (left in the photo) her nose is disappearing into the highlight, but I'm not so sure it woudl be better that way. I spotted that stray hair too, but it's only a tiny thing.
I started out being distracted by the bright area top right, maybe it could be a tad darker but then you're in danger of losing her hair into the darkness if you overdo it.
It balances the light in the bottom left corner, and after I've looked at the whole image I wouldn't change it.
Lol your funny SmartWombat you could've saved yaself all that typing!
I tried darkening the top corner about a month ago but it didn't balance up with the bottom corner. And I did start to lose the hair in the darkness so I left it.
Plus I always make sure my 4 corners balance up. Wow! I must be gettin' good hehe. Teetering on the edge of pro woohoo!
