    Chapel.....Est. 1902

Out driving around Wears Valley today. I've always enjoyed seeing this old chapel.
    Any feedback would be appreciated.

Scott, this looks to be a good subject with its weathered roof and tree behind but this pic looks incomplete. You need to have more of this structure included and a sky with something to add say clouds as opposed to this blown out white bg. Just my feeling on it.

With all that greying on the building, etc., I would wait for the late afternoon sun and shoot the heck out of that place. Play with angles and all different kinds of framing. Equipment permitting, try to do something with a close up on the bell tower, using the spot meter and reading the middle shadows. You have a great looking subect there.

I believe I will go back for a second look. I'm actually stopped in the middle of the road here, shooting out the window. There may be some different angles. I do remember electrical lines coming over the front of my truck and connecting to the corner of the church nearest to me. And even multiple lines just to the left of the tree. Thanks for the input. I'll go back on a sunny evening.
    Thanks for the feedback.

OK, After revisiting the chapel today. I remembered, it sits snug in between two ridges with no sunlight ever hitting the only side of the church worth shooting.
Here is the second post of this chapel. Lighting not much better.
This subject will have to wait for a different season.
