    Chamonix-Mont blanc

Here is the first shot I posted of a new album I am working on. This was taken back in December on a weekend down in France with my girlfriend.

Wow, yes....great subject matter! Glad you posted via Flickr so we could see a larger shot.

Looks like you nailed the exposure (though just a tad more contrast might be desirable....or maybe even a b&w conversion?) and it's plenty sharp. I wish there were some clouds to enhance the drama, but there is something to be said for a crisp, clear day for grand peaks like this. I also like the crop, but I would also like to see a wider view with more of the foreground leading down to the valley below (or even a vertical comp taking the eye down there)......and perhaps a tighter shot on the prominent peak on the left. As this one stands, I wonder how it would look if you cropped off some of the ridge extending to the far right and closer peak in order to bring more focus on the peaks that are showing in the distance? Minor nits.

Something else I noticed even more from the larger shot....is that a jet contrail on the right side? Regardless, I would clone it out. This shot screams pristine and that streak is not part of that.

Beautiful shot. . .picture perfect. Looks like a post card worthy image, imo.
Personally, i'm happy to see this with a clear sky and no clouds. The jagged outline of the mountian peaks against the clear sky is wonderful.
The compostion is excellent as it is. My only nitpik is possibly to come up a 1/3 stop in exposure here, but really thats just stretching for something to critique here.
    Great image.

    Beautiful shot of the Cham.

Are you really expecting us to critique this? It's pretty much perfect.

I really like this shot. I think the composition is good and the muted sky color is soothing. The shadows create a lot of dimensionality. The only part I don't like as much is the deep shadow area in the bottom foreground, which I would look into cropping out (that may not work... but it's worth a look).

congrats on the sticky! I also like the 2nd shot, unconventional with the star burst type effect but also real nice.

    good stuff.

What's a sticky? Those are lovely landscapes you have there dancer. Nice thing about nature is it never really has a bad hair day, acne breakout, bloating and its 5 o'clock shadow is just sweet shades of color...it's always there and always photogenic. I like the way the light limns the peaks on the second. Kudos!
