I alos like the expression and pose. I agree with the comments about the tonality. One thing bothering me is the watch. . . .i think it would be best without it. It just adds something that seems would be better not havng,.
What watch? Oh, there is a watch there (lol). Seriously I agree it looks a tad out of place here. If the background was more elegant - Victorian furniture, etc - maybe.
MB, Gary, I agree - the tonality is off. This was really a spur of the moment shoot because it was so warm that day (shot up to 91 F at my place, very unusual for San Diego even in the summertime). I could 'add' some extra wall on the right side. Glad you guys didn't even notice my cloning out of a power switch on the right (that's one issue with lighting up the background - it does show a bit..)
Yeah her expression in this one was what caught my attention. She has a lot of different expressions.. the girl's really a chameleon and likes to pose.. nice to not have to twist arms to get someone to model.

Now that I look at it again I agree about the watch (unless this is for a watch advertisment).
I'm also thinking the bright white on her thumb is a little too much.
Here's another shot, somewhat more melancholy or moody..
Note the power switch isn't cloned out in this one
