I suck at naming photos. Oh well. Here's one I liked from tonight.

nice, awesome hue to the street. do you know what your wb was set to?

I would probably attempt to get more brake lights by playing with a selective color or hue/saturation layer (masked over the red lights).. If that doesn't work, I'd try to get an exposure while shooting that was only "good" for the brake lights and merge it on top of a shot like this one (where headlights are pretty much perfect)

i like it, i don't think id change a thing. the debris on the island and road way variations add just enough detail to keep my interest

    Re: caught in traffic

the hue to the street was not achieved through any WB setting, but rather in post production. Shot RAW so the colors were editable.

I have the same concern about the brake lights, unfortunately they just sort of blend into the sidewalk and don't stand out much. But I couldn't really move up or down and keep the same framing with the sign/lights that I liked so much. Didn't really feel like merging, I already did some work on this photo and wanted to keep it as real as I could.

I like the debris on the island, I intentionally put that rock in the frame because it was just out and I felt like it would be interesting, glad you enjoyed it

Excellent placement of all objects in the scene, great composition. I'll second the request for more brake lights, I think you could do it if you combined multiple exposures. I tried this same sort of thing a while back, but you did much better. I'll have to try again sometime and imitate some of your compositional technique.

By the way my favorite out-of-symmetry part of the shot is not the rock, but the tar streaks on the right side and the crack on the left..

It's all about the sky, in my mind. It makes the street lights jump out.
