    Cat & Rainbow

I'm not happy with this. It's the curve of the edge of the pond I don't like.
I think it could stand cropping, but I don't want to lose the rainbow.
    So, any other ideas, comments?

You could take a little off the top and it really doesn't take away from the rainbow at all. If you start from the upper left where the concrete meets the edge of the picture and take it straight accross you will only lose the part of the rainbow that is washed out.

Poor miserable Kitty! A unique image, that's for sure, I like Lara's crop and change of Perspective.

    crop?

Whew, that's a wet kitty! Looks like Hurricane X in Florida or monsoon season in Burma..

I think the upper grass area doesn't add much. Matter of fact I think it might be better if you crop a bunch (?) Here's a quick crop I tried of your pic... I also darkened it a bit to create a dreary feel. What do you think?

    I like GBs crop.

Is that a statue of a cat? It's not real, is it? It looks like it's made of stone.

cool shot...he can't be real or he'd never been standing there long enough to take the pic...

good eye for something that could have been overlooked...I think I like Lara's crop with the horizon straightened....

    well done

    You're right, it's a sculpture in Mainz.

    Here is the whole sculpture.
If my wife hadn't been waiting to go shopping I'd have taken a lot more close ups.
But it was the cat that caught my eye

    Yes ! Thank you
    That's much nicer.
I don't know how to do that perspective change, can it be done with Photoshop LE?

As you can see from the end of the thread, the sculpture was in a circular pond.
From my angle (I could have crouched lower) when standing, the curve of the pond edge was still visible.

I think it's a little too dark on my monitor, but it's uncalibrated so it may well be fine on other people's.
Feels a little too tight for my liking, but it's interesting to see everyone's different points of view.

I actually wanted even more rainbow, with kitty smaller a tthe end of it.
I had to walk round the sculpture until the raiinbow was where I wanted it
But there wasn't enough water from the fountain at the top to make a big enough rainbow for my first idea.
