    Carrie - revisited

Carrie was the first model I ever shot in a studio setting, back in May. I had the opportunity to shoot her again yesterday, but this shot has a secret Thoughts?

    Re: Carrie - revisited

The composition is nice as well as the DOF, the background a little bright and her makeup is showing a little to much. I think I like the previous ones better. She seems to be comfortable and relaxed.

    LOL Frog
No, not the same dress. The secret is about the photo, not the model. Here's another hint, a 100% crop taken from the original (BTW this is straight out of the camera, not post processing except for RAW conversion "as shot" and resize)

    Re: Carrie - revisited

Jim - The lighting seems a bit harsh here, not super glamorous. Maybe too much contrast? I think her skin texture may also work better outdoors than in the studio, where I've found that smooth skinned models who look like they've never worked a day in their lives look best (but that's just a loose rule). Pretty dark there in the bottom right. Try desaturating and see what happens,

    Cool Re: Carrie - revisited

    Somebody peeked at the EXIF
This was shot with one of only two production models of the new Leica S2 medium format cameras worldwide.

    Re: Carrie - revisited

Well, both a re nice images, but I prefer the second one, and no it's not just because the camera is in it

With such portrait shots, and I have gotten too used to softening the skin, while keeping some texture to it... other than that, I would say the eyes are a bit dark...

    But that's impressive detail nonetheless...
