I like them all. Especially #3. Maybe some movement blurr would add something, or experiment with "Zoom Effect"? 4, 6,7 have that grain. Is that what you wanted?

Re: Car pics with my new D5000

Dang! Got to last one and clicked something else before submitting.
Hard to critique so many so I'll give the first thing I notice in each.

#! Needs to be wider or closer. Partials of headlight and scoops distracting as is the line of
    road and foliage in bg.

#2 Composition pretty good and the bg not distracting in this case. Seems soft though.

#3 The tilt is eye catching and the setting is good but the car itself is soft. Was it
    moving?

#4 Best of bunch. Sharp with eye catching tilt. Needs more room at top and bottom,
especially bottom. The rear tire is almost touching the frame.

#5 Pretty good. Would like more depth of field. Use a smaller aperture. Looks like focal point is
mid-car,(mirrors), and the front is a little soft. For this type pic, the front should be focal point.

    #6 Background is distracting.

#7 Is that part of the taillight? Soft and lines lead the eye but suddenly go off frame.

#8 Not sure. Seems soft and the background could be good but I'm not sure.
    Keep Shooting!

Love all things SRT but, that's a discussion for another forum. I like #3 the best followed by #5. The tilt on 3 is interesting and the low angle on #5 always seems to work for car shots
