    Canyonlands Snow

Another 35mm image from Dec 2010 that I just scanned. This is Canyonlands NP in Utah. Not sure why there's what appears to be artifacts in the sky, other than I had to adjust the color which had shifted to the blue.

Very cold, bleak and stark image. There seems to be a slight green cast but not enough to take away from it's other qualities.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan

Thanks Tom. I do see that color cast you mention. This one was color fixed because it sifted blue on film, guess it takes a little more attention to get it back to where it should be. Thanks for pointing that out.

PS - I think this may actually be Arches National Park, not Canyonlands. But I visited so many different parks on that trip it's hard to keep them straight (esp after almost a year).

    Well put.

Like the perspective of the desert in winter. Often we ignore that deserts can be as harshly cold as they can be hot. This pic captures that
