    Canoes at Sunset

Hi! This is my first post and I wanted to see how it works. I took this photo at a lake outside of Phoenix. I'm curious to see what reviews it gets. Thanks, Jodi

it has great colors and a great setting, if possible i would have given the boaters on the left more head room so their silouette didn't run together with the mountains.

I agree with Dylan. Some people don't like silhouettes but I'm not one of them.
The canoeists are just lost in the hills but otherwise a beautiful shot.

    Re: Canoes at Sunset

Welcome to the fourm. I agree with what the others have said about the people getting lost in the hills. One other thing that I would keep in mind is the rule of thirds. The line where the water meets the hill cuts your image in half and makes the image a little static. I love the color being reflected in the water in the fore ground, but I think I would have framed this image with a lot less fore ground. I think it makes for a nicer image if you crop some the water out of the FG.

    Keep shooting, and keep posting!!
