Alot of storms lately and one knocked our power out and so we had lit some candles.....this one is one of my favorites(strawberry vanilla ) What do you think> (And notice it is NOT centered! Which by the way was very hard! LOL)

Chow, this is very pretty! The only thing I would suggest is to somehow get rid of the little section on the left...there's like a faint rectangular area there. Otherwise, I really like the color and lighting.

I couldn't see it on my computer, so I lightened it and saw what was actually part of my counter.......Is this better?

Chow - I like it. Even more negative space would be even better too, I think. Try another and see!

I can't really add much other than to say that I too like it. I would also agree that more negative space at the right could be better although I already like what I am seeing.

I really like it. Simple, effective, lots of candle shots, but this one is one of my favorites i've seen. I can almost smell it.

    Re: Candle Light

I was about to say "way to go" for not centering it, but then you posted the "original" shot and you DID center it! ok, but you then cropped it off center, so I'll give you that.
I like the mood of the red glow here and your exposure is right for this. I would have liied to seen a good sharp focus on the inside portion of the candle. the mention of more negative space in this composition is a good idea, i can see this, personally, shot in a vertical frame with the candle at the bottom and alot of black negative space at the top.
    i like this, good going.
