    Can someone fix this color?

Mallets Bay Vermont with My. Mansfield in the back. I think I was on private property when I got this considering it was a private island hhhhmmmm. I could see this scene shape up on my way to buy my son an electric guitar for x-mas, I bagged the guitar and this shot that I am fairly satisfied with. I would also like some advice on how to go about selling a shot like this to the owner of the boat? I did get his name and email through the tight network of sailors around here and emailed him a reduced sized file, he loved it and wanted it but never offered (go figure) to pay for it. I suppose I should have just been forthright but I didn't want to come off as a pedaller. Any thoguths?

Duh!! Oh-and-by-the-way, this is a great shot. Offer the guy a free copy for a signed release to allow you to sell it.

I think that top adjustment looks just great the whites and blues look very true.

    Anthony-
As far as selling your picture to the owner of the boat that is a tough one. My suggestion is that you have already done the right thing by giving him an e-mail sized copy of it. If he asks you for a print then you should explain to him that the printing process costs money and you should give him a price that covers for the cost of the print and a little extra for the trouble of arranging it. But these things are not just a one way street. HE gave you a beautiful subject to photograph by virtue of his being in the right place at the right time and YOU own the copy-write on this image of his boat. Just be honest and upfront, because thats what you have control over. Most likely he doesn't know how you want to proceed either I bet. Offer to make him a print and tell him how much it will cost upfront. If he doesn't bite, then you still have an awesome picture that you can sell to anyone else who is interested. A good resource for publications who buy photos or at least accept submissions is the Photographer's Market Guide, they make one every year and there's probably a copy in your local library. Aside from lists and lists of publications and their requirements it has some really sound advice about what magazines and others are looking for and how it should be presented. You should also research how to protect your copy-written work. Good luck!!
