    Can I See Myself

This is a photo I took of one of our babies. I figure the best way to get better is to take pictures of everything to find out what to fix or improve on. Let me know what you think.

    Re: Can I See Myself

The overall color of the image looks a little dull in my monitor.

If you are going to take a shot that intends to include all of an animal (or a person) you have to be careful to not cut off a hoof (or foot, or head, or arm......anyway you get the idea).

Another issue is that the horse is in the exact vertical center of the image but the head is turned towards the right. If you had shot (or cropped) this so that the body is in the left half of the frame and there was empty space where the head is turned towards (the right) I suspect it would look a lot better.

I understand you would probably be ankle deep in mud...but I think that I would like one from behind as you are, but further off to the right...

I think that the interesting thing in this picture is the face of the horse looking in the puddle..but the focus of the picture is the horse's butt, which isn't to me as interesting.

As a fellow Texan and fellow beginner..the colors look normal to me, but that is always one area well worth experimenting with..
