    Calton Hill in Edinburgh

I was in Edinburgh last week for business and came across this. This was done with some fairly quick edits, but it will have to do until I get more time to play. Any thoughts?

I like the over saturation of color. Your image reminds me of those old time post cards that were hand tinted.

The exposure and colors are very well done. I would have liked to have seen more of the bottom. a wider view. Is that a tunnel of some sort in the middle?

Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately, below this hill sits a train station and I didn't think it added too much to the shot :-). The dark area is simply an indentation in the hillside. There's concrete in front with some graffiti that says to "Free Everyone". It's actually pretty nice at full resolution.

I think the exposure is great.
Gret wanted to see more of the bottom...I think you can crop it to just above the indentation. I do it by just scrolling and like it that way.

Wow, I am lost here. I like what you have but the crop thing might work well too. Either I am tired or it looks a tad bit out of focus, could be the JPEG compression thing too.

    How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?

Wow, i love this shot, it kinda reminds me of a HDR because of the beautiful detail in both the light and dark areas of the shot.

it's a good subject, and exposure is on, but something just doesn't sit right with me about this photo. I think it could be the drastic difference in the sky and ground exposure. The HDR is a bit overboard in this shot.

I like the scene, and the post processing lends a certain. . .cinematic feel about it. I would just say the contrast is somewhat too strong.
    Good shootin.

Nice to see home after so long! I really like the oversaturated colours, we don't get those colours in Scotland by default!! Nelson's tower looks a little crooked to me but overall I think you have a nice capture here.

    Thanks for sharing

I wonder what it would look like if you cropped just above the roof of the lower building??? Just a though. I didn't read all the comments, so I don't know if someone else has already suggested it. Very nice shot though.

I really like the exposure and the color balance, looks like a HDR combination!
