    Smile C & C Welcome

These are a few pictures that I was able to snap off at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. I was wondering if they are worthy of framing or not. I did a little photoshop to all, but a lot to one. You should be able to tell. I like how it turned out. What do you think?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jason

    Hi Jspot,

It looks like you had a fun day at the botanic garden. Is this your first try at macro photography? The important thing to remember when doing flower close ups is that your DOF (depth of field/focus) is not very deep so you must make certain that what you really want to show your viewer is the sharpest point of focus and then compose around that. If flower photography is your thing, you might want to spend some time in the Nature and Wildlife forum. We have some really excellent macro photogs. who hang it out in there who are always ready with great advice. Also try to pick one picture per post, you'll get a more detailed critique of your pics. that way.

Out of this lot I would have to say the last one is my favorite. I like the spiky bits and the soft focus background, which work well with the focal elements of the picture, making it visually interesting. The colors are also very nice. The rest of the pictures seem to have issues with sharpness and focal point in one form or another.

Thanks for the advise. I like the last one best as well, but I also like the top picture as well. I guess just because it's a wierd looking plant . Thanks again.
