    Hi statebirdme,

    Nice pictures of butterflies. Can you crop closer to the butterfly?

    On the picture of the white flower, I would like it better if the entire bloom was in focus, instead of just the tip.

    Hey statebirdme,

    I think your exposure is pretty good on your butterfly pics, but the flower seems a bit dark to me. I think your first butterfly image could use a little bit more depth of field. The wings seem to be in focus, and but the body isn't. I also think that all three images could use a bit of sharpening but I think you're on the right track. I do think your composition could use some work tho. All three of your subjects are dead center in the frame. Try moving your subject off center and see how you like that.

    I'm sure you would get more feedback if you uploaded or embed your images to your thread instead of having us link to them.

    Butter Flys are good but the flower is underexposed, and needs alot more DOF. The flower I would of never posted, because of the DOF, and believe me I have alot of photos like the flower which will never see the light of day.
