Buffalo

Hi,

Could i get some thoughts on this photo, i was able to get pretty close to the Buffalo but don't think he liked it to much.

Not sure if i should have cropped closer or not, i kind of like the way it is cropped because it gives the buffalo somewhere to go.

I think it is excellent, but do be careful. Buffalo can be dangerous.

I agree with you, leaving some space to the right adds to the shot. I like it just as it is - good work!

I might crop a little off the sky, about 1/2 of the dark cloud layer at the top.

I like it as is. The contrasting difference between the foreground and the Buffalo is super. Crisp and sharp too. Be sure and post this in Nature an Wildlife. I wouldn't mind seeing a larger version. 800 pixels wide.

Well done. I would leave it as is. The size balances wit the buffalo if that makes sense.

Image stabilization to reduce your shaking from being that close? Love the picture BTW..

You've done a good job .. it looks positively prehistoric.

The one small edit I would suggest is to carefully clone just those few strands of grass that impinge on its face. That's a very small criticism though - it's a good image.

Hexnut: Yeah there was a little bit of shaking going on, good thing for stabilizing lenses.

Didache: I had thought about cloning those grass pieces out but i am not the best at photoshop, but that being said it would be good practice...
