The sky is very dominant with a beautiful early evening royal blue. My favorite color! I enjoy the geometry of this image. The static nature of the grounds and buildings contrasted by the motion of the buddies is particularly pleasing. I am glad to see your work on the board again. It is refreshing.
Hi CL,
Thanks for the kind words. I have planned this shot for 2 months and had taken the shots several times (late evenings) but they did not work because of the high contrast of the playing field and the dark buildings in the background. I will continue to explore the place in different lighting conditions.

I envy your ability to name images ( as well as shoot them). If I took that same shot I would think the buddies in it blew the image but with one word you made the whole thing work. Great work!
We improve ourselves by victories over ourself. There must be contests, and you must win.
This reminds me of the kind of photo often used for the cover of children's schoolbooks and college textbooks in the United States. I'm not sure what that means in terms of a critique -- I'd have to think about it some more, but it really has that freel -- like you'd see on a sociology textbook.
Hi hardmongo, I am glad that the photo works for you.
Hi LL, Thanks for the perspective. You are very right about the impression that I did not think about. It really looks like a shot for a government annual report ot things like that.
