    Bridge Toll...

I've been trying to grab this shot for a while but the angles or timing have always been off. It helps to be a passenger. What do you think?

    Dave,

If only you could see the collectors face without the window/door frame in the way.

Other than that a good attempt and I like the position of the money in the air.

Anyone know why the chap is wearing latex gloves?

Ever been to a strip club? LOL dirty, dirty, money!
Seriously, they wear them down here too because of all the ink (which stays wet virtually forever on dollar bills) and contaminants.

Try this, rub the back of a dollar bill on a brown paper bag - you will see the ink come off onto the bag.

They wear the gloves to grip the money, and to keep their hands clean, and to prevent the spread of germs,

I like the shot, and like others I wish you could of gotten the face better.

Thanks for the input. I was actually able to capture 4 shots with this one being the first. I do have one or two that show his face. The other images are on my home computer.

Oh Yeah, I remember now that your money has damp ink, coming from the UK we don't have that same problem.

There are actually 5 different versions of this transaction. I do like the first better because of the positon of the bills. Here's the 2nd version.

I don't know, with the second photo it seems to have a lot of useless space, but I think thats because its so large.

Its a great shot, trivial, and something I wouldn't think of to shoot. So props for creativity. It seems kind of under exposed to me too, it would be awesome if you could have caught this on a brighter day or with better lighting. But for being in a car taking the shot, it worked out well. Good Job.

    Re: Bridge Toll...

I prefer the second shot, cause the face of the guy is showing. The entire shot has a heavy blue cast though. Also this is a very editorial kinda shot. I can see it run in a newspaper story about toll fees, etc.

Wow thanks for the kind words and honesty. One thing I should mention is that I have sold my computer monitor and use our big screen instead. It's probably not the best for editing. I think I need to start editing on something else. I find images on my D90's screen that look properly exposed in the camera's screen but when I load onto the computer it looks blown out.
