    Bridge scenery

At that point this is more of a single random shot but this might involve in a series over time.

I think this outstanding. Exposure is excellent in all areas as is the sharpness and the composition is unusual and interesting. Great light and colours too.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan

Thanks a lot Tom! For this one, I played with a new technique (for me) and it gave surprising results: contrast masking http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tu...-masking.shtml

This allowed to lighten the foreground that was relatively hidden in the shadow. Due to the immediate surrounding of this structure, I am not sure that I could expose to get everything right. (actually, I am going to check out my assumption right now by going back there. The sun should be at a different angle than what appears on the picture right now).

    regards

Very nice, Seb. Strong composition that brings depth along with the interesting bridge pillar. Well done in getting the exposure right and the technique in PS. Good job. This will make a fine series

    Re: Bridge scenery

    Hi Seb,
Interesting shot. I have mixed feelings about this photo: the technical and PS parts are very good; the feeling delivers is a bit contradictary. The scene is about an abandoned place with graffiti on walls but the warm sunlight gives a heart-warming effect. I am unsure; maybe I am thinking too much.
