Nice perspective! Colors are a too saturated, and the time of day looks at about noon, which not exactly the best time to shoot. It's a good shot design-wise, but subject-wise it's lacking a little.. it needs something to hold our interest, whether it be a more interesting looking bridge, a gesture from from a passerby, shadows, etc. In short, an interesting subject + an interesting point of view will get you by. Like I said, nice perspective though.

Thanks Cynic. I figured the perspective lines were probably it for this shot. Just threw it out there, just to make sure. One never knows, sometimes people see things differently.

Yes, the right gives me relief, and the buildings in the sky balance it out for me as well. I like the perspective, and the rider draws my attention. I also like looking at the bacground through the clear panels. the colors are not working for me though, and a b&w conversion here may really pack the extra punch for this good composition.

I really like the angle of view here and the buildings are perfectly positioned to end the photograph if you like. All those straight lines of the barriers, sidewalks, kerbs, roadmarkings etc and the canopy give us plenty to follow and look at on our way to the buildings at the back of the photograph.
I agree about the colours though and perhaps a little less saturation might be just the man for this. But it is also a good candidate for a B/W conversion.

I've tried the B&W but it just didn't work for me. For some reason me and B&W just don't get along. I usually try desaturating all my shots just to see what they look like, it almost never turns in to a shot that I'm happier with. Could just be my perception though. Here's the B&W. Thanks for chiming in on this Tom. I also like it for many of the reasons you've mentioned. Also the little red markings and the green paint on the bike lane just add a dash of colour. Gotta appreciate latin nations and their love of colour. Everything was painted in vibrant bright colours, even the streets didn't escape the bonanza.

Also, I don't think I saturated this shot at all (although it's possible, but I don't remember doing that). I hardly ever use that function but do seldomly. I think the vibrancy and saturation here was a result of boosting the image in the curves panel. The S curve does that a little I find.

Here's a desaturated version asked for by popular demand. Hopefully it makes this shot better.
