    Brentwood country

I wanted to show a Christmas Day country scene from an area I really like. Mt. Diablo. Brentwood,ca.

Harsh light; Excuses... I was wearing polarized glasses, at this time everything looked just fine...LOL. I still use a old 75-300 film lense that is soft in weird areas, meters poorly.(I can prove it!) I shot this at Iso200 before It got all weird with the Iso...hahaha.

Would a a C.P-L filter have helped? OR Is it still the wrong time of day. I have alot to learn... Thanks

    Re: Brentwood country

I like the composition a graduate probably would have helped. If you had shoot RAW you probably could have done more with the sky too........

    Re: Brentwood country

I don't think a polarizer would have helped with the harsh lighting although the sky would have looked better. Perhaps a split Neutral Density filter plus the polarizer might have been your best bet although sometimes you just can't overcome bad light.

As far as the composition goes I mostly like it although to me the top edge of the field is just a little too close to the center of the frame sort of cutting the image in half. I like the amount of sky here so perhaps a slightly lower camera position would help.

This is good so go back and shoot more until you get a fantastic image..
    No, I DON'T need that.
