    break time

This was taken during the Puyallup Fair on a landing at top of escalators. Not sure what her job is but she sits on the landing as people come and go to see the art and photography exhibits. Someone else was on duty while she tood this break.
I like how her back parallels the shadows.
Like....don't like....any post processing advice. This was taken in Sept. of '07 so I can't retake it.

I like the fact that she doesn't seem to notice you are there. Also like that her blue picks up the blue railing. very warm colors there with the tile and the way the light is throwing the shadows. I don't like the glare or? crossing the darker shadows on the back wall. Also I may crop a bite of the tile out of the foreground.

Thanktyou, Ray. I did brighten the walls a bit and can undo it. I actually wasn't sure about it myself.
    OC, nope, no glass.

Frog I don't think I would touch it. I can't see much improving and already nice picture. The shadows hit the wall in a way that helps the overall composition.

    Re: break time

frog .. I like this one pretty well as it is. I would suggest shaving off just a millimeter or two from the right to get rid of the very small sliver of vertical shadow. But that really is a very small thing. Great shot.

I love the floor, it almost looks like water, and with all the blue it goes nicely!

    An interesting shot Frog.
I like the angle of her body sort of matching the geometry of the shadow behind her; almost fitting in the triangle.

    Re: break time

there are alot of great lines in here, I like it. I can see why OC thought it was taken through glass, because of the reflection in the lower right hand corner of the shadows on the wall. Looks like glare, maybe coming off the floor. I just noticed her clothes match the railing too. Nice capture.

    Re: break time

    Thanks everyone.
Yeah that wall glare is off the floor and I'm pretty sure its off the lighter tiles along the base of the wall.
Definitly not taken during a 'golden' hour but I thought it turned out well because of that with the shadows and shiny floor.
    Large glass walls and ceiling.
I was a bit concerned that people would find the shadowed part of her face distracting.

Now what to do with it....
