Good freeze action. Could be a tad sharper, but not too bad ...

I agree with the sharpness. Unfortunately I have a 70-300 (someone stole my 75-240) and the lens just plains sucks. Doesn't matter how hard I try it won't be sharp in in autofocus and my eyes are so bad that I never get it right manually. Thanks for taking the time!

I can relate about the sharpness: some lenses will never be sharp even if you nail your camera to a concrete pillar. Does it have built-in diopler settings (lens corrections)? I'd be dead without that on mine. If it doesn't, might be a good reason to get another camera..

I love the expression on his face, it makes me smile.
    It's a great action shot.

Thank you all for critiquing it. GB, I shoot with a D70 so I do have a diopter. I'm so glad because I could never give this baby up.

My biggest problem is that I'm a sloppy photographer and shoot before I think. It's why I keep coming back to you guys. You all set me straight!

This is the best of the three for sure. I would crop a bit off the top to get rid of that darker blue line.

As far as focus goes, you do what you can but this is not a perfect world. You have a great shot here, just don't enlarge it all that much and it will be fine.

Great timing of capturing this, he's so cute. It really shows that he's having fun running through the water. Great job!
