    Both shots are quite nice, the top image especially. Good color, framing, nice close crop, etc. Nicely done.

    Don,

    I am begining to think your monitor needs calibrating as your photos are frequently oversharpened look to them or their dark.

    I have to agree with John on the look is oversharpened on my monitor which I just calibrated yesterday.

    You also commented on another photo which I saw a few minutes ago where you seemed to think it was too bright. On my monitor it was fine which adds to my opinion. This may be leading to you overcorrecting your photos
