    Re: Boxes

Hey GB, I like the quality to this shot. It's simple but I still like it. I think if you off centred them that would've been better. still like the ground's texture, the fact that the pole in the background aren't overlapping the mail boxes. the arbitrary placement of the boxes in the middle of nowhere is what really adds suspense to this for me.

    Re: Boxes

I mostly agree. Probably crop some from left to get them off-center.
However, I don't like the power tower in the bg and would clone it out.
It has me wondering what's on this side of the boxes.

Love the shot. Not entirely sure about the "tower of power" in the bg (as in I'm really not sure - I'd have to see a take without and compare).

Otherwise, looks like a postcard to me. Great work.

I like this shot. I visit the eastern part of our state and we have a lot of views like this.

Who doesn't love a good mailbox shot!!! I look for them when driving out in the country and the desert. My only fuss about this shot is that pesky rock there on the right that's blown out, I'd edit that out. Otherwise, I like this one just fine.

I like the tower in there, on second look. Don't know why, but I do.

Good call on the rock, Penny.

    Re: Boxes

Thanks everyone for taking a look at this. I actually did play with the composition in PP and it just seemed best with it dead center. That's usually not the case, but .. Anyway, feel free to edit and repost your visions.

Penny, I will work on toning down that blown-out rock. It does draw some unwanted attention.

Also - it isn't a power tower.. it's an old sign Those things in the sky do look like lines I must admit, but I suppose they're vapor trails. I wasn't sure if the sign would add to the shot or be distracting .. I will try a clone out and see!!!
