    Bouquets

An image I am working on from a wedding I did this weekend. What are your thoughts?

Hi CLK...this is a beautiful candid shot. I like the expressions on both of their faces a lot...it definitely captures the joy of the day.
I'm not really that crazy about the color in this...but that could totally be a preference on my part. I think for me, I would like it better as either totally color, or totally b&w.
    Lovely photo nonetheless.

    Thanks for commenting Emily
Of course I've done it all of those ways too ; just looking to offer the happy couple something that is a little different from Type A or Type B. I thought I would mix it up because I'm not crazy about the brick building in the background and the black and white makes the flowers go. . .phbbbt!! They get to choose from all of them of course, I wonder which they'll pick? Here are A & B:

Ah...gotcha. And both issues you mentioned, I can see (brick building and gray flowers). I think I like the color version best...but they are all very nice. Did you use photoshop to do the original image you posted? You did a good job with it.

Yes, it's a quicky little trick using layers and the magnetic lasso tool. Outline and create individual layers for the stuff you want to keep color. Then select the background and Remove Color from the Enhance menu. That's pretty much it.

    Hi CL,
I too think the color version is best and think it does a great job of capturing the moment. I don't think the brick bg detracts. In fact, I think your clients would probably appreciate the color version because they themselves are so colorful. Their joy just radiates.

"A picture is worth a thousand words". Great capture, it really shows the emotion on both of their faces. Anyways, the color version looks best for me.
