    Boston

    I took this on the way out to see some humpback whales last month. The sky wasn't cooperating so I did a B&W conversion. Is it too soft? (I need an IS lens )

    This looks fine. The b&w works good here. sharpness looks ok at this size on my screen. I it would have been better to get the sailboat when it turned sideways.

    I think a polarizer would have helped knock some glare off of the water but still this is a very good picture. I like the choice of B&W. Try not to chose B&W over color because of image quality. The stronger color image you start with the better B&W it will make too. I would love to see this one printed big.
