Re: Boring Photo for Technical Critique

    You all are so nice.

My lack of experience, knowledge and opportunity to get to a more photogenic spot makes throwing my amateur pics in with so many nice ones rather intimidating... but... you are right.

    So, I just posted another.

If you need inspiration to keep going, look up my (or probably nearly anyone's) profile and scroll all the way back to the first few pictures I/they posted here. I know I posted shots I thought were good less than 6 months ago, that I look back at now and fully understand they were crap, and I'll probably look back next year and say the same about what I'm posting today It does get better and easier with practice, and learning ain't nearly as expensive as back in the film days!

Great idea -- I did start with yours. And while I agree with you that you are improving, I would not characterize any of yours as "crap."

So, if you are still improving from your starting point here, then I can only get better!

Change of Topic: You should consider doing another photo of your beautiful wife for the window light thread. While your October photo of her is nice, it would be nice to see your artistic flair at work now with your more finely-tuned skills.

    Thanks for the encouragement.

My husband asked me a few days ago if we should just go buy another P&S...

until I showed him what some of you all are doing with more or less comparable equipment!
